Selimathunzi welcomes two new presenters into the fold.
After an illustrious, decade-long, presenting career on SABC1’s popular entertainment variety show, Selimathunzi, the time has come for the lovable Zizo Beda to bid her millions of fans a warm and appreciative goodbye.
The darling of television presenting is gracefully passing on the baton to the show’s brand new acquisitions with a spanking new face to television, Tshenolo Seabi and the energetic and driven Sphe Vazi.
We caught up with the new presenters to have a quick Q&A in order to deeper understand the new faces who’ll be bringing you the latest in all Selimathunzi entertainment.
- Favourite food to cook?
Oh wow, I love cooking so many things but if I really had to choose one I’d say pasta. Really saucy and creamy! Yum!
- You can’t go a day without wearing?
Giggles* Underwear, mascara and eyeliner! Can’t go a day without those.
- What’s it like being in the spotlight?
So far it’s been very overwhelming. Till this day I still can’t believe everything that’s been happening. To be honest I’ve been too focused on mastering my presenting that I haven’t really paid much attention to how it all actually feels.
- The meaning of friendship is?
Friendship is so important to me. I value friendships. Friendship to me is a bond people share, where there’s trust, support and honesty. Having someone there for you whenever you need them, be it through good and bad. The list is endless but one thing for sure, a friendship is something beautiful to have.
- Describe yourself in 3 words?
I’m a fun, bubbly and warm hearted person.
- 3 favourite things about Kwa-Zulu Natal?
The beauty of KZN takes me away, whether it’s cultural or urban, the province is beautiful most of all the weather, like its people it is what it is. When it’s hot it’s hot and when it’s cold it’s cold. It’s hardly in between.
- When you were growing up, you always wanted to be a…?
When I was growing up I always wanted to be like my dad and study law but I was to much of a creative to study law and ended up doing Strategic Communication.
- 3 people who inspire you?
I derive inspiration from everyone I meet who I feel has made some sort of achievement in their lives, it would be unfair for me to pin point certain people.
- What’s the one that that gets you motivated everyday?
The fact that God has granted me with the grace to wake up every morning and chase my dreams on a daily basis is what keeps me motivated and also having the chance to do what I love keeps me on par.
- What’s one thing most people don’t know about you.
That I am friendly crazy fun and smart, my sometimes very straight face doesn’t mean much actually, lol.
